Hiring the hall or side hall
Hiring is available to:
a) Christian groups for purposes of fellowship and worship
b) Groups that have no religious affiliations or spiritual component and do not conflict with the charitable objectives, Christian beliefs and values of the church
1. Hiring will be on a non-commercial, not-for-profit basis. Charges are intended to cover running costs.
2. Hire includes use of the kitchen facilities with crockery, baby-change and toilet facilities, which includes wheelchair accessible WC, garden and on-site parking for up to 6 cars. Markham Road is not suitable for parking.
3. Capacity: Main room - 80 seated for concert style Side room – 25 seated.
4. Fees: £10 per hour for side meeting room £20 per hour for main room.
5. Access to the building is level or ramped to assist those with mobility problems.
6. Formal organisations will be expected to have their own insurance liability cover and Safeguarding policy, and will need to show evidence of them.
7. Informal hirers must sign an agreement to follow the Safeguarding and Health and Safety policies of Discovery Church Wroughton, where applicable.
8. Rental times must include sufficient time to both set up and clear away.
9. A returnable security deposit will be required in case of damage to premises or replacement of fittings.
10. Two church Trustees will assess requests to hire the hall on a case-by-case basis.
The church may consider discretionary assistance with hiring costs on request.
